On Sunday, I travelled up to Newcastle for work. On Sunday night, my son (who is 15) is taken to hospital in an ambulance. Things are pretty steady but he gets no better and I travel back from Newcastle on the train on Tuesday.
I have been going backwards and forwards to the hospital since then...
Fortunately, things are picking up and my lad is starting to eat/drink and is no longer on a drip so he may well be coming home at some point early next week, if things go well.
Tired? Yep!
Worried? Not quite so much, now that he is eating/drinking.
Busy? Very!
Life really does have a habit of throwing a curve-ball just to keep you on your toes.
My son has been an absolute credit to himself and our little family unit. He hasn't complained and has behaved like a perfect gent. I am a very proud father.

Mushrooms seem to be the flavour of the moment...there are more to come.

OMG! Hope all goes well with your son. Any idea what it is? Meningitis? Bad Flu?
I hope your son gets better soon Inso. Must of been a very stressful week for you all.
The doctors are a bit baffled but they are leaning towards a viral infection as a result of tonsillitis.
It is difficult to look at him at the moment because he is so thin...but once he is home, we'll soon fatten him up again :).
